Nissan NV200 London Taxi unveiled 18.08.2012

The Nissan NV200 has already been selected as New York City's official taxi and now the company is looking to build on that momentum by unveiling the NV200 London Taxi painted by its peculiar colors. Nissan aims to receive full London Taxi certification later this year and will begin testing an NV variant in 2013.

 

According to Nissan, the NV200 will be cheaper than the current TX4 Taxi.

For example, the London Taxi - with a 1.5 DCI engine and a six-speed manual transmission - averages 5.3 L per 100km which is almost 50% more efficient than the most economical TX4. Designed to be flexible and fuel-efficient, the model has sliding doors and a five-seat passenger compartment.
