Geely Company has revealed the new car model, designed for London taxies. The TX5 named automobile will appear on the streets of the city in 2017.

No information about the technical characteristics is available so far. The car performance will be provided  by the hybrid propulsion system. The car can pass quite long distances exclusively on the electricity. By the way, this is a requirement for the London taxies that will come into force in 3 years.

The car design has been developed at the company’s studio in Barcelona, which previously belonged to Volvo. Geely TX5 complies with the London taxi requirements fully, including seats for 6 passengers, possibility for comfortable travel for people with disabilities (with wheelchairs) and a short radius of turn (7.6 m).
