The car manufacturer has made the full size copy of the IS sedan and has provided it with an electrical engine car frame made of steel and aluminum.

The model was assembled from 1700 laser cut cardboard sheets. The width of each cardboard is approximately 10mm. In order to make sure that each peace of the cardboard is in its place all the sheets were numbered depending on the order of the assembly. Everything has been assembled manually.

The parts are affixed by water-based adhesive. It takes 10 minutes for the parts to be affixed in the right position. So, the work on the Lexus IS copy was very slow and hard. However, in the company they decided not to give up.  The interior of the sedan was also fully replicated. It took the car manufacturer about 3 months to complete the work on the model.

The Lexus IS in origami technique has been released in order to emphasize the mastership of the Lexus employees by virtue of whom the car manufacturer is releasing high quality cars.

Despite the fact that the car is represented as 1:1 sizes copy, it is fully on the fly and can be used as transportation mean.

The carton Lexus IS will be presented in Great Britain from October 8 to October 11 at the Grand Designs Live design exhibition.
