Steve Jobs drove only Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG without a license plate. The point is that according to the law of the state of California one may be issued a license within six months.
Jobs had signed a special leasing agreement with one of the automobile centers which saw the replacement of his Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG by a new one every six months. The privilege of the automobile center was the possibility to sell the driven by Jobs car even more expensive than a new one.
